irc.vbirc.org replaced
Posted: 4/10/2009. By: Floris

The last year or so we have had a sponsoring from Mez, by contributing an alternative hub irc.vbirc.org to our network. Unfortunately due to changes Mez is unable to continue this service to us. We thank him a lot for his help and hope to see him back in the future. Since the unlink irc.vbirc.org has been a CNAME alias to irc.vbirc.com, but as of today and effective immediately irc.vbirc.org is back.

Pyro has decided to dedicate his time, money and resources in sponsoring us with an ircd. Today we've set up the name server entries, configured the network and linked up the leaf server irc.vbirc.org. Adding back a buffer of 1024 connections. Allowing our network to spread the load a bit more, making everything a bit faster for everybody again. Thank you Pyro!

The server is located at a data center and server within in it, on an IP range that we aren't using yet. So in case of routing problems with other irc servers, his will (well should) remain online. Providing a great alternative to connect to.

/sever irc.vbirc.org

Supporting our default range of ports, 6665, 6666, 6667, 6668, 6669, 7000, 8067, 8080, 9000, 9999.
